Basement Prep!
Last week Brandon was prepping the basement so that we could have a concrete floor poured. Our plumber did all of the in-slab plumbing, which basically means all of the pipes and plumbing had to be laid out according to the plans so when the concrete was poured they were all in place and ready to go. (All including proper venting, toilet/shower/sink pipes & drains, and hot/cold water pipes.)
Brandon also installed all of the Radiant floor tubing prior to concrete being poured. As you can see from the pictures, the red tubing is what will heat our floors and be our heat source for the house. We also plan on putting radiant heat throughout the rest of the house as well.
Here is the manifold that disperses the hot water throughout the tube loops. There are 5 loops total, that are strategically placed by length & spacing.
