Bringing you up to speed

We have GAS!  

It's been a while since our last update.  Sorry for the delay everyone! Brandon has been working on the house over the holidays, and in between the multiple sicknesses that we've all gotten.  It's been a rough cold season for us for sure.  Since the last post we have had Nicor hook up our gas. FINALLY!!!  We have been waiting and battling with them for over 2.5 months!!! They came out and dug a trench with a really nice ditch digger, much larger and faster than the one we used to dig our trench for the electric.  At the spot they are at in the picture below it was already dark and approx 8pm when we dug our trench.  I think they were here till approx 5pm. 

We also have Electric completed... 

Wowza, this might be one of the slowest tasks, as everything has to be well thought out, designed, planned, and installed.  Here area few pictures showing you our lights in and on!

    Finally the basement

The next step is for the plumber to do the in slab work, which was started today!  So all of the plumbing and work in the ground will be complete before we have a concrete floor poured in the basement.  We hope to have the in slab plumbing work done within the next week, and get on the schedule for concrete for about a week or two out.  Things feel like they are moving along again!  Yay!  Stay tuned!
