Well, it's FINALLY happening!
As they said with our beloved Cubs the 2016 World Series Baseball Champions "AT LAST!"
We are going to be breaking ground any day now!! Weather permitting, we are supposed to have the excavation step start this week. Brandon and I took a day to prep by putting up a Silt fence around the perimeter of our yard.
Here I am trying to work this beast of a trenching machine! Harder than it looks for sure. Needless to say, this was just a picture of me trying to work it...Brandon actually did the whole yard trench.
Brandon pounding the stakes into the ground. They have to be 4" down. When done correctly, you will no longer see the orange dotted line on the silt. After we pounded the stakes in, we tucked the fence down into the trench and filled the dirt back in and pounded it down to secure the fencing.
This is the whole yard complete, and Silt Fence inspection has been approved!
We are officially ready to break ground!
