There is a lot happening here and it's going VERY fast!  So fast I can hardly keep up with all the posts!  Here's what I've captured today so far...

There's a truck in our house!  Crazy to see the perspective of how big the house is with a truck sitting where the house will eventually be.

Excavator in Action 
10/4/17

It was an early morning on 10/4 for our excavation crew, arriving at approx 6:45am with more sounds of equipment being dropped off. The kids were still sleeping by the time the excavator was delivered and put into position.  

Hole is finished and boards for framing the footers were dropped off!  

Footers and Concrete tomorrow...stay tuned!

Diggin Day

Diggin Day!

Yesterday was a good day for us!  We were all getting ready for the day, work, and school when we heard some equipment being dropped off.  Chains clinking together and then the sound of people talking.  We peaked out the window and saw the Bobcat had arrived.  

Here are a few pics of our yard and where the new section of the house will go.  Things are going to look a little different very soon!

So glad we checked!  We received an email that our lumber was delivered and waiting for delivery.  Brandon took the kids to run a few errands and decided to go look at the lumber for fun... 

So glad he did!

  

What wasn't so funny were the holes that were punched into the side of the I-Joist! So glad B decided to pay a visit.  We have new I-Joist on order now and this should not effect our framing timeline.  Phew...

Back tracking a few days...

Windows & Painting   

I'm going to back track a few days here since I hadn't posted anything.  We seemed to get a little busy with some other projects around the house, and for the house so it seems I've slacked a bit on my updates.  Last week Brandon and I took an afternoon to confirm our window selection and order.  We also have continued to paint the garage to make sure we really like our paint color.  

 So far so good! 

The garage windows have all been painted a darker bronze color to match the windows that we will be putting in the house.  The garage windows were all white, now they will be dark with a lighter trim.    (The trim color has not yet been finalized)
