The rest of the framing for the ceiling is now done and insulation has been added. The new ventilation fan has been installed and the rest of the electrical was done. We are just in time as it is starting to get pretty cold during the night and this room has been letting a lot of the heat out of the house.

It was a busy weekend. I had to extend the roof rafters in order to be able to but a higher R value insulation in and to accept the fire boxes for new lighting. With this done, I have all the framing ready for the skylight that will be going in also. With the experience from putting skylights in at Darren's house I found it to be easy this time around. The skylight really lets a lot of light into the bathroom now which was one of the darkest rooms in the house.

All of the ceiling is now down also and framing has been done on the attic side to remove the ceiling. We have most of the bathroom insulation done as this point. The roof has developed a leak where the previous owner tried to fix the issue and failed. I will be taking that section of roof out this weekend anyways as well as finishing up the remaining framing.

Now with the cold weather here again it is easy to start new projects and I have a couple planned for the winter that should keep me busy. First one is the bathroom. As much as I would like to just paint it and add a new towel rod... I know there are some serious problems behind the walls that I need to get to. We started demolition today and how great it feels to be back in the dust.
